6th National Moot Court Competition 2026 | Anand Law

Register for the 6th National Moot Court Competition 2026, organised by Anand Law College and Anand College of Legal Studies. Online event on May 8–9 with cash prizes worth ₹22,500. Last date to apply: January 31.

About the College

Anand Law College is a legal establishment recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi, since 1964, motivated by highly enthusiastic professionals under the guidance & supervision of the great visionary Late Gordhan Shanabhai Patel. The College is managed by Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal, Anand, and has been granted permanent recognition to offer various Law programmes.

Eligibility

All students currently enrolled in three year LL.B. or a five-year integrated law course in any Law School / College / University in Gujarat state are eligible to participate in this Competition. Any recognized Institution / College / University shall be entitled to send only one team to the Competition.

Team Composition

Each team shall be comprised of a maximum of 3 members, i.e., 2 Mooters and 1 Researcher. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances. Teams shall identify such speakers and researchers during registration. Under no condition shall a team consisting of more than 3 members be allowed to participate.

Competition Format

  • The Competition is divided into 3 parts:
    • Preliminary Round (based on Mooting videos)
    • Semi-Final Round (online rounds)
    • Final Round (online rounds)
  • The winners of the preliminary round shall qualify for Semi Final Round. The winners of the semi-final round shall qualify for the Final Round. The Winner of the Final Round shall be declared as the Winner of the Competition.
  • In case there is a tie, the winning difference of their respective rounds shall be taken into consideration.
  • Further, in case of a tie after taking winningscores into consideration, the decision shall be taken on the basis of the Memorial marks. The decision of the judges with regard to the outcome of the rounds shall be final.

Submission Guidelines

  • Each team will be given soft copy of the memorial of the other side of the opposite team on the day of the competition.
  • The participating team shall have to submit a compendium separately, along with the memorial for any additional submission of caselaws, rules, guidelines, circulars, etc. (in Pdf format)
  • It is the sole right of the Moot Court Committee to decide which team would represent the side of the case based on a draw of lots.
  • The citationshould comply with the 20th edition of Bluebook.
  • Memorials shall not containany borders or decorations.
  • The underlineis allowed only for Titles / Heading.
  • Each team has to submit a soft copy (Pdf format) of the Memorial to the Moot
  • Court Committee before the last date of submission – 11 April 2026(Saturday).
  • Each team has to submit soft copies from both sides (Petitioner & Respondent sides).
  • Pages shouldbe numbered at the bottom middle.
  • The cover page of Petitioner / Applicant Memorialshall be in Blue.
  • The cover page of the Respondent / Opponent memorialshall be red.
  • Each team has to submit the soft copy of the memorials on email id – nationalmootcourtalcacls@gmail.com
  • The participating team shall have to submit the memorials from both sides by the submission dates. No further extension for the submission shall be provided.
  • All the memorials received within the time schedule will be evaluated by the Moot Court Committee, and in case of any office objections regarding the format of the memorial and any substantial requirement, the memorial(s) shall be returned to the concerned team for correction.
  • The Evaluation done by the Moot Court Committee will be finaland binding.

  • 27th December, 2025: Release of Moot Problem and Rule Book
  • 1st January, 2026: Commencement of Registration
  • 31st January, 2026: Last date for Registration
  • 4th April 2026: Allocation of Team Codes
  • 11th April, 2026: Last Date for Submission of Memorials for Office objection (Soft copy to be submitted to Moot Court Committee through the given email address).
  • 16th April, 2026: Final Submission of Memorials (Soft copy) & Recorded Mooting Video for Preliminary Round.
  • 8th May, 2026: Preliminary Round (based on Mooting videos) & Researcher’s Test (Online mode)
  • 9th May, 2026: Date of Competition (Online mode)

Prizes

  • Winners – Rs. 10,000/-, Trophy, Winner’s certificates.
  • 1st Runners up – Rs. 7,500/- , Trophy, Certificates to runners up.
  • 2nd Runners up – Rs. 5,000/- , Trophy, Certificates to runners up.
  • Best Memorial – Trophy, Certificate
  • Best Mooter – Trophy, Certificate
  • Best Researcher – Trophy, Certificate
  • Certificates will be issued to all the participants.
