About LAWTREK 2026
LAWTREK 2026 is the flagship legal festival organized by the Moot Court Society of CPJ Group of Institutions under the theme “Where Advocacy Meets Excellence.” The competition has been conceptualized to provide law students with hands-on exposure to different dimensions of legal practice beyond traditional classroom education.
The event aims to encourage legal research, advocacy, dispute resolution, policy analysis, drafting, negotiation, diplomacy, and teamwork while exposing participants to contemporary legal issues. Through carefully curated competitions, participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their legal knowledge, enhance practical skills, and network with judges, legal professionals, academicians, and peers from institutions across the country.
Competitions
LAWTREK 2026 comprises five flagship legal competitions, each focusing on a different aspect of legal education and professional practice.
1. Institution of Suit
This competition tests participants’ understanding of civil procedure, legal drafting, pleadings, and litigation strategy. Teams will be required to draft and institute legal proceedings based on a given factual proposition while demonstrating their knowledge of procedural and substantive laws.
2. Mediation & Negotiation
Participants will engage in simulated mediation and negotiation sessions, requiring them to resolve disputes through communication, strategic negotiation, and problem-solving while maintaining professional ethics.
3. Crime Scene Investigation
A unique event designed to assess investigative abilities, logical reasoning, evidence appreciation, and criminal law concepts. Participants will analyze crime scenes and evaluate evidence to solve legal and factual issues.
4. Policy Drafting
