The School of Legal Studies, The Neotia University, is organizing the 1st Smt. Krishna Neotia Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2026. The School of Legal Studies is dedicated to providing high-quality legal education, fostering academic excellence, and developing advocacy skills among students.
Event Details
The 1st Smt. Krishna Neotia Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2026 is a prestigious inter-university moot court competition designed to provide law students with an opportunity to showcase their legal research and advocacy skills.
Participants will argue fictional legal cases before a panel of judges, simulating real courtroom proceedings. The competition will test participants on their knowledge of law, ability to apply legal principles to factual situations, clarity of expression, and persuasive argumentation.
The competition will consist of multiple rounds, including:
- Preliminary Rounds
- Quarter-Final Rounds
- Semi-Final Rounds
- Final Round
Eligibility
The competition is open to students who are currently enrolled in the following programs at recognized universities or institutions:
- LL.B. (3-Year Programme)
- B.A. LL.B. (5-Year Programme)
- BBA LL.B. (5-Year Programme)
- LL.M. Programme
Each participating institution may send only one team for the competition.
Team Composition
Each team shall consist of three members, including:
- Two Speakers
- One Researcher
However, a team may also consist of two members only, in which case both participants will perform the role of speakers.
Once the registration process is completed, changes in team composition will not be allowed without prior approval from the organizing committee.

Fee
The registration fee for the competition is INR 1000 per team.

Teams must ensure the timely completion of the following tasks:
- Registration Deadline: 21st March, 2026
- Submission of Memorials: 24th March, 2026
- Last Date to seek Clarifications: 19th March, 2026
- Release of Clarifications: 20th March, 2026
- Date of Competition: 27th- 28th March, 2026
