About the Institution
The Chameli Devi Institute of Law was established in 2022 in the State of Madhya Pradesh to impart legal education. The college offers B. A LL. B (HONS) five-year integrated program, B.B.A LL.B (HONS) five-year integrated program and LL. A three-year Degree course.
As a part of practical training and to provide due exposure to students and teachers, Eminent Jurists, Senior Advocates, and Eminent Professors from other Universities are invited to deliver extension lectures, conduct seminars, and discussions.
About the Event
The Lex Maven CDIL National Moot Court Competition, 2026, in collaboration with LEX MAVEN LLP, aims to provide students with an immersive experience of appellate court proceedings through rigorous legal research, memorial drafting, and oral advocacy. The competition focuses on contemporary legal issues and promotes ethical lawyering, analytical reasoning, and advocacy skills. The competition follows a two-stage format:
- Stage 1: Memorial Evaluation Round
- Stage 2: Offline Oral Rounds at the CDGI Campus, Indore.
The top 16 teams qualify for the oral rounds based on memorial scores.
Eligibility
Students pursuing either a 3-year or a 5-year LL.B. degree from any Law School/College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate. Team members must be bona fide students of the institution they are representing.
Teams participating in the Competition must be duly authorized by the moot court society/ Faculty-in-charge/ Dean of their respective Institute to participate. (Registration Form is attached to the pdf)
Once registered (after Final Registrations), a Team will not be permitted to vary its composition in any manner.
Team Composition
The participating team shall comprise three (3) members. In a team of three (3) members, two members shall be designated as ‘Speakers,’ and the third member of the team shall be designated as a ‘Researcher.
Each team will have a unique registration number (URN). Teams shall not disclose their identity or that of their institution or city, etc. Such disclosures will invite penalties, including disqualification. The decision in this regard shall be at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to bar any team from participating in the Competition.

- Registration Fees for the Stage 1 (Memorial Selection Round): INR Rs 500/-;
- After Qualifying of the Stage 2 (Oral Pleading Round): INR Rs 1500/-

Awards
The winners shall be awarded Cash prizes, Certificates and Trophies. There shall be awards under the following categories:
- Winning Team: Rs 25,000/- and Trophy
- Runner Up Team: Rs 20,000/- and Trophy
- Best Memorial: Rs 5,000/- and Trophy
- Best Speaker: Rs 5,000/- and a Trophy
- Best Researcher: Rs 5,000/- and Trophy
