Internship Programme – Ministry of Women and Child Development

Objective

• To promote the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas”.
• To build awareness and support for a self-reliant India.
• To empower women to raise issues related to women and children.

About the Programme

• Open to women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers.
• Candidates must be enrolled/associated with a university, academic or non-academic institution.
• Interns work on pilot projects, micro-studies, and policy analysis related to MWCD schemes.
• Provides exposure to government programmes, research, and policy formulation.
• Opportunity to interact with Ministry officials, other Ministries, and stakeholders.

Duration

Internship is conducted four times a year, each for 2 months:

• May – June
• August – September
• November – December
• February – March

Eligibility

• Must be 21 to 40 years of age.
• A candidate can apply only once.

Number of Interns

• Up to 20 interns per batch.

Stipend & Benefits

• ₹20,000 per month stipend.
• Travel reimbursement (AC Bus / 3-Tier AC Train).
• Travel allowance & DA for official tours.
• Certificate on successful completion.
• Hostel accommodation in Delhi (sharing basis) with basic facilities.
• Internet, seating, and stationery support.
• Internship Coordinator assigned for guidance.
