About NUSRL
The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, was established under the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi Act, 2010 by the Government of Jharkhand. The Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, serves as the Rector of the University.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, is the Chancellor, and the Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, is the Visitor of the University.
About the Chair
The Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) was established at NUSRL, Ranchi in October 2024 by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi. The Chair aims to promote research, teaching, and training in the field of consumer law.
CCRP functions as a policy “think tank” focusing on research and policy-related issues in consumer law. It also seeks to develop consumer affairs as a distinct academic discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to students enrolled in recognized law and other institutions and universities. Eligible applicants include:
- Students in the second or third year of the three-year Bachelor’s degree in Law (post-graduation)
- Students from the second year onwards of the five-year integrated law program
- LLM students
- Students from non-law academic backgrounds, including institutions such as NITs and the National Institute of Design
Stipend
No stipend will be provided during the internship.
