About the Organisation
The Centre for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (CIIPR) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) collaborates with SS Rana & Co. to organise this prestigious competition aimed at fostering innovation and strengthening the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) framework.
About the Competition
The 3rd National Intellectual Property Article Writing Competition 2026 encourages undergraduate students to write in-depth articles analysing ways to promote innovation and enhance the IPR system.
Competition Structure
- Mandatory registration
- Submission of a well-crafted article (2500 to 3000 words)
- Paper presentation conducted online on specified themes
- The winners are selected through a double-blind peer review process.
Theme
Participants may choose from a list of suggested themes provided in the competition brochure or select any topic relevant to the domain of Intellectual Property and Innovation.
Eligibility
- Open exclusively to undergraduate students
- Cross-institutional teams are permitted
Submission Guidelines

Prizes
- Top 10 ranked articles will be published in the RGNUL CIIPR Journal and on the official CIIPR-RGNUL website.
- Top 10 participants will receive Merit Certificates.
- Cash prizes for the top 3 rankers or teams:
- 1st Prize: Rs. 15,000
- 2nd Prize: Rs. 10,000
- 3rd Prize: Rs. 6,000
- Internship opportunities offered to the top two rankers by SS Rana & Co.
