About the Organiser

KMC College of Law, Tirupur, is affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai, and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Located at KMC Gardens, Kanakkampalayam Road, Perumanallur, Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, the college emphasizes experiential legal education through moot courts, advocacy training, and legal research.

About the Competition

The 2nd Edition KMC National Moot Court Competition 2026 is a national-level event designed to test law students’ advocacy, analytical, and courtroom skills in a simulated environment.

This competition focuses on competition law, market dominance, and anti-competitive practices, providing an opportunity to explore the boundaries between legitimate competition and anti-competitive conduct.

Theme

“Fair Play and Market Dominance: Game Beyond the Pitch – Navigating the Anti-Competitive Legal Spectrum”

The theme encourages participants to engage deeply with legal and policy issues concerning market power, dominant positions, and the evolving competitive landscape, while honing research and advocacy skills.

Eligibility

  • Law students enrolled in a three-year LL.B. or five-year B.A. LL.B. programme from any recognised Indian college, university, or law school.

Team Composition

  • Each team shall consist of 3 members: 2 Speakers and 1 Researcher.
  • A maximum of 2 teams are permitted from the same institution.

Competition Structure

  • Orientation, Drawing of Lots, and Researcher Test on October 8, 2026.
  • Preliminary and Quarter-Final Rounds on October 9, 2026.
  • Semi-Final and Final Rounds on October 10, 2026.
  • All rounds are offline and held at KMC College of Law, Tirupur.

Important Dates

  • Proposition Clarification Deadline: September 2, 2026.
  • Registration Closes: September 18, 2026.
  • Soft Copy Memorial Submission: September 20, 2026.
  • Hard Copy Memorial Submission: September 24, 2026.
  • Competition Dates: October 8–10, 2026.

Prizes

  • Winning Team: Trophy, ₹15,000, and Certificate.
  • Runner-Up Team: Trophy, ₹10,000, and Certificate.
  • Best Memorial: Trophy, ₹5,000, and Certificate.
  • Best Researcher: Trophy, ₹5,000, and Certificate.
  • Best Speaker: Trophy, ₹5,000, and Certificate.
  • Second Best Speaker, Researcher, and Memorial: Certificate only.
