About the Organiser
Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), established in 2009, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing legal education across Karnataka. It is the largest affiliating law university in India, with 174 affiliated law colleges, and is accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. The University strives to promote professional competence, social relevance, and a culture of justice through its academic initiatives.

Eligibility
Undergraduate students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. courses from institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Team Composition
Each team shall consist of three members (2 Speakers + 1 Researcher).

INR 3,000 per team

Moot Proposition
The competition centers on a complex international intellectual property and biotechnology dispute, Roots Hug Technologies Inc. v. Kripalu Solutions Ltd. & Union of India, involving issues of patent eligibility, jurisdiction, data sovereignty, and bio-piracy.
Facilities
Accommodation and meals will be provided to participating teams from 22 May (evening) to 24 May 2026.
