About the GALSF

The 7th edition of GALSF, scheduled to be held on 21st and 22nd March 2026, is themed “Artificial Intelligence for Access to Justice” and aims to foster meaningful engagement among Legal Services Committees and Legal Aid Clinics across the country.

About the Mediation Competition

As a part of the GNLU Annual Legal Services Forum (GALSF), we are organising a mediation competition in collaboration with the GNLU Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (GCADR).

The Mediation Competition forms a core component of the 7th GNLU Annual Legal Services Forum, designed to equip participants with practical dispute resolution skills essential for enhancing access to justice in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.

Eligibility

The competition will be solely conducted in the English language. All the law students currently pursuing three-year LL.B. or five-year LL.B. are eligible to participate in the competition.

Mode

The preliminary rounds of the Mediation Competition will be virtual, while the final rounds and other components will take place on campus.

Important dates/ Schedule

  • Preliminary Rounds I & II: 21st & 22nd February 2026
  • Results (Preliminary Rounds): 23rd February 2026
  • Quarter Final:28th February 2026 per team 
  • Semi Final and Final: 21st and 22nd March 2026

Fee

Registration Fee: ₹3000 per team (extra charges to avail accommodation.

Prizes

  • Winner Client-Counsel Pair: Rs. 25,000
  • Runner-Up Client-Counsel Pair: Rs. 15,000
  • Best Mediator: Rs. 12,500
  • Runner-Up Mediator: Rs. 7,500
