About TNNLU
The Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu under Tamil Nadu Act No. 9 of 2012. Located in Srirangam Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, TNNLU offers five-year integrated undergraduate programmes [B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.)], a one-year LL.M. programme in Business Law, and a Doctoral programme in Law.
The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Sections 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956, and by the Bar Council of India (BCI). TNNLU aims to foster a strong sense of social responsibility among students through an interdisciplinary approach to legal education.
About La Festo
La Festo is a flagship initiative of the Legal Aid Committee of TNNLU, conceptualised to educate and inspire students to provide free legal aid and promote legal awareness. Since its inception in 2016, La Festo has evolved into a dynamic platform combining legal knowledge with practical social impact.
The 5th Edition of La Festo expands its outreach to students from diverse disciplines of higher education, encouraging informed dialogue on contemporary legal issues and promoting meaningful societal change.

Events and Competitions
- Eyalvathu Karavel (Create Legal Awareness): A village-based immersive legal awareness exercise involving interaction with residents, conducting awareness programmes, and petition drafting.
- Street Play (Therukoothu / Nukkad Nattak): A creative performance-based competition focusing on legal awareness through acting, singing, and expressive storytelling.
- Think, Create, Aid: Teams identify challenges faced by Legal Aid Committees and propose innovative solutions through posters or 3D models.
- Mime: Artistic mime performances depicting important legal themes without dialogue.
- Quiz Unplugged: An engaging, multi-round quiz that tests legal knowledge, creativity, and teamwork.
- Panel Discussion: Theme: “Challenges in the Delivery of Legal Aid to Inter-State Migrant Workers and Informal Labour in India: An Emerging Concern”.

- The deadline for abstract submission for Think-Create-Aid is 15th February.
