About the Opportunity

Sharma & Sharma is looking for an experienced and driven Associate Partner to join their team in New Delhi.

The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation and drafting expertise, excellent client management skills, leadership capabilities, and a strategic approach to legal practice.

A proactive legal professional with strong analytical and advocacy skills, a client-focused mindset, business development acumen, and the ability to lead teams while managing complex legal assignments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Legal Drafting: Drafting writ petitions, Special Leave Petitions (SLPs), appeals, applications, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Conveyancing & Documentation: Drafting and reviewing leases, deeds, incorporation documents, agreements, contracts, and other legal instruments.
• Court & Tribunal Representation: Appearing before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, High Courts, NCLAT, NCLT, NCDRC, District Courts, and other relevant Courts and Tribunals.
• Client Management: Conducting client consultations and meetings, managing a portfolio of clients, and ensuring effective delivery of legal services.
• Leadership & Team Management: Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of lawyers and support staff.
• Strategic Planning: Contributing to and implementing the firm’s strategic objectives and growth plans.
• Negotiation & Dispute Resolution: Handling complex legal matters, negotiating contracts and settlements, and developing effective litigation strategies.
• Business Development: Building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to client acquisition and retention.
• Compliance & Ethics: Ensuring adherence to applicable laws, professional ethics, and regulatory requirements.
• Professional Development: Staying updated on legal developments, judicial precedents, and industry trends.

Eligibility Criteria

• Advocate with 10 years of post-qualification experience in the legal profession.
• Proven experience in legal drafting, litigation, and appearing before Courts and Tribunals.
• Prior experience in a law firm or a partner-level role will be preferred.
• Demonstrable ability to attract, develop, and retain high-quality clients.
• Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Sound understanding of legal ethics, professional standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Must be enrolled with the appropriate Bar Council.
• Law degree from a recognised institution.
