About the Competition

Now in its eighth edition, this flagship event of the GD Goenka School of Law continues its legacy of fostering excellence in advocacy and arbitration practice. The competition is designed to simulate authentic arbitral proceedings, providing participants with the opportunity to argue before seasoned arbitrators and practitioners. This year’s edition places a special focus on the evolving and increasingly crucial domain of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations in international commercial arbitration.

By placing this critical theme at the heart of the competition, the organisers aim to equip students with the legal acumen and practical insights necessary to navigate the intersection of commercial interests and contemporary global sustainability practices.
