5th MAIMS National Mock Trial Competition, 2026, aims to provide a dynamic platform for law students across India to showcase and strengthen their advocacy, research, and courtroom skills in a professional and intellectually stimulating environment.

The 5th edition of the competition revolves around the theme of “Mental Health, Superstition and Criminal Liability”, highlighting the intersection of psychological vulnerability, blind faith, and legal responsibility. In a society where grief, emotional distress, and misinformation often make individuals susceptible to manipulative spiritual practices, the competition seeks to encourage meaningful dialogue on the legal, ethical, and social dimensions surrounding mental health and criminal accountability.
