About the Blog

The Auxilium Consumer National Blog Writing Competition, 2026, is an academic initiative organised by the Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP), NUSRL Ranchi, and sponsored by Sharma Kemp Chambers.

The competition aims to encourage critical analysis and informed discourse on consumer welfare and consumer protection law, particularly in the context of technological developments and digital markets.

About Call for Blogs

The competition invites original and unpublished blog submissions from students and researchers across India. The initiative aims to raise awareness and foster scholarly discussion of evolving issues in consumer protection, dispute resolution, and consumer rights.

Eligibility

The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from recognised universities and institutions.

The broader themes of the competition include:

  • Consumer Welfare
  • Artificial Intelligence, Consumer Protection, and Dispute Resolution in Digital Markets
  • Contemporary Challenges and Developments in Consumer Protection and Dispute Resolution
  • Market Fairness, Accountability, and Consumer Access to Justice

Submission Categories

Participants may submit blogs on the following sub-themes:

  • Dark Patterns
  • Interplay between Consumer Law and Artificial Intelligence and Technology Law
  • Consumer Law and Dispute Resolution
  • Consumer Protection in Digital and E-Commerce Markets
  • Algorithmic Transparency and Automated Decision-Making
  • Unfair Trade Practices in Online Advertising and Influencer Marketing
  • Consumer Protection in FinTech and Digital Payment Systems
  • Algorithmic Transparency and Evidence in Consumer Dispute Proceedings
  • Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) and Access to Justice
  • The Evolving Consumer Protection Act and Dispute Redressal in India

Formatting Guidelines

  • Word limit: 1200–1500 words
  • References should preferably be provided through hyperlinks. In the absence of hyperlinks, endnotes may be used.
  • Citations must strictly follow the OSCOLA citation style.
  • Submissions must adhere to a plagiarism limit of 15%.
  • The competition follows a strict zero-per cent AI policy. The use of artificial intelligence tools for content generation is prohibited.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.
  • Co-authorship is permitted.
  • All submissions will undergo a two-round evaluation process.

Submission Procedure

Participants must complete registration and submission using the two separate forms attached at the end of the post. Participants must first register for the competition and thereafter upload their blog through the submission form.

Prizes

  • ₹6,000 for the Winner
  • ₹4,000 for the Runner-Up

Select participants may be offered an internship opportunity at Sharma Kemp Chambers, subject to compliance with the Chambers’ internship guidelines requirement and availability
