About The Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee
The Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of Jitendra Chauhan College of Law is dedicated to imparting practical knowledge and comprehensive training related to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to law students.
The Committee has four clubs: Arbitration, Client Counselling, Mediation, and Negotiation. Every year, the Committee organizes several events, some of which include workshops, intra-collegiate competitions, seminars, and talks by ADR professionals.
The students have shown keen interest in alternative dispute resolution and have taken part in various inter-collegiate competitions, having won prizes at the national level.
About The Competition
‘Samanvaya’, 1st Virtual Mediation Competition is a competition organized by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of SVKM’s Jitendra Chauhan College of Law in collaboration with Presolv360. It is an opportunity for law students to showcase their problem-solving abilities, creativity, and communication skills before expert judges.
Through this Competition participants will gain hands-on exposure to negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict management. Participants will learn how to identify underlying interests, manage emotions, and facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes.
Mode of The Competition
All the Rounds of the Competition will be conducted on the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to all Law Colleges/Universities across India. The registered students must be law students enrolled in a 3 Year LL.B or 5 Year LL.B programme.
Students enrolled in a postgraduate programme in law and students undergoing correspondence courses are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
The number of Teams that can participate in this Competition is capped at 24. Cross-Institute Teams shall not be eligible to participate in this Competition. Only 1 Team from each participating Institution shall be registered for the Competition.
Registration Fee
There is no fee for Provisional Registration.
The fee to be paid by each Team after being informed of their selection by the Organizing Committee is Rs. 3000/-. The fee must be paid within 24 hours of intimation of selection.
Prizes
1st Place:
- Mediating Pair – Rs. 8000/- + e-Certificate of Merit
- Mediator – Rs. 8000/- + e-Certificate of Merit
2nd Place:
- Mediating Pair – Rs. 4000/- + e-Certificate of Merit
- Mediator – Rs. 4000/- + e-Certificate of Merit
All participants will be given an e-Certificate of Participation.

Registration Process
The Teams interested in participating in the Competition shall be required to provisionally register by filling out the form provided.

Teams that have been selected will be contacted via email by the Organizing Committee and will be provided with the Registration Form and payment details.
The registration process must be completed within 24 hours of intimation of selection by the Organizing Committee. Failure to do so will be considered as a withdrawal of the Team from the Competition.
The Team shall be allotted a Team Code after the completion of the registration process and confirmation of payment of registration fees.
