About CNLU

About CARCIL

The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) is a Centre of Excellence at CNLU. It promotes research, workshops, conferences, and advanced academic engagement in corporate and insolvency laws.

About the Competition

The 5th Edition of the CNLU–CARCIL National IBC Moot Court Competition aims to enhance legal research and understanding in insolvency law—one of India’s most critical business law frameworks.

Theme of the Moot

Balancing the commercial wisdom of the Committee of Creditors (CoC) with timeliness and transparency in resolution plan selection, and determining the standard of proof for fraudulent transactions in summary tribunal proceedings.

General Details

• Preliminary & Quarter-Final Rounds: Conducted virtually 

• Semi-Final & Final Rounds: Conducted physically at the CNLU Campus

Registration Details

• No limit on the number of registrations 

• One institutional team allowed 

• Additional teams may register under the Open Registration Category

Important Dates

• Final Registration Deadline: December 1, 2025 

• Preliminary & Quarter-Final Rounds: January 17–18, 2026 

• Semi-Final & Final Rounds: February 08, 2026

Registration Fees

• Initial Registration Fee: ₹1,500 per team 

• Top 32 Teams (after Memorial Elimination): Additional ₹4,500 

• Teams advancing to offline rounds: Additional nominal fee (details later)
