Name of the Post: IP Counsel
Eligibility
- LL.B./LLM from a recognised institution.
- B.Tech /B.E in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunication, Instrumentation & Control from a recognised institution.
- Experience of at least 3-6 years in the field of Intellectual Property. In-house experience is preferred.
- Contract management experience, preferably in Tech company.
- Well versed with the new and upcoming technology in field of software and telecommunication such as Gen AI, IOT, telecom etc.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to set priorities, multitask on several matters and handle multiple tracks and follow up on projects.
- Ability to collaborate and manage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English language.
- Highly self-motivated to work independently with minimal supervision as well as coordinate within team as and when required.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- The person would be associated with IP Legal Team, and would require collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Business and internal Innovation teams.
- Responsible for drafting, managing and provide advice on software licensing agreements, technology transfer agreements (SaaS/PaaS/Cloud), MSA/LOI/MOU, Alliance agreements, IP clauses in MSA, SOW and other IP agreements.
- Recommend and assist Business with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating wide range of technology contracts.
- Work with external legal counsels on a need basis.
- Well versed with IP laws such as patents, copyright, trademark and trade secrets.
- Advise business and other internal stakeholders on different IP matters or issues related to patents, copyrights, trademark, trade secrets.
- Knowledge and experience in patent drafting, patent prosecution, and patent analytics is preferred.
- Knowledge of IP disputes, domain disputes and brand protection is preferred.
