About The Conference
The Centre for Women and Child Welfare Policy (CWCWP), Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru, in collaboration with Jus Corpus, presents Pravaha: A National Conclave on Navigating Gender Dynamics & Child Welfare in Contemporary India on 6th and 7th December, 2025
Pravaha serves as a national platform for academic dialogue, policy reflection, and interdisciplinary research on pressing issues of gender and child welfare. By bringing together students, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, the Conclave encourages critical engagement with the intersections of law, policy, and social justice.
About Call For Papers
Pravaha: A National Conclave on Navigating Gender Dynamics & Child Welfare in Contemporary Indiaaims to promote academic recognition and knowledge exchange on issues of gender and child welfare. Selected papers showcasing originality and analytical depth will be published in Jus Corpus Law Journal, while other notable works will be featured in the Centre’s forthcoming Journal of Women and Child Welfare Policy.
Eligibility
- Students of 5-year LL.B, 3-year LL.B, and LL.M programmes from recognized institutions
- Humanities and Social Science Students from recognized institutions (UG and PG Level)
- Social science and gender research scholars
- Civil society workers, NGOs, and working professionals
No restriction on the number of registrations per institution. In case of any ambiguity, the Organizers reserve the right to decide thereto, which shall be final and binding.

Submission Categories:
- Abstract Submission – Participants must first submit an abstract outlining the core idea, objectives, and methodology of their proposed paper.
- Full Paper Submission – Only selected participants, whose abstracts are accepted, will be invited to register and submit their complete research papers for presentation at the conclave.
Formatting Guidelines:
For Abstract Submission:
- Word Limit: Maximum 350 words.
- Structure:
- Tentative title of the paper
- Central research question or problem statement
- Research design or methodology
- 5–7 keywords
- Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5, Alignment Justified.
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
For Full Paper Submission:
- Word Limit: 2,500–4,000 words (including footnotes).
- Title: Maximum of 10 words.
- Introduction/Synopsis: Not more than 350 words at the beginning of the paper.
- Author Details: Name under the title, brief bio (1–2 lines) as footnote.
- Keywords: 5–7 relevant keywords.
- Main Text: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5, Justified.
- Footnotes: Times New Roman, Size 10, Line Spacing 1.0, Justified.
- Citation Style: OSCOLA (4th Edition).
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
Submission Guidelines
Abstract Submission
- Content: The abstract should clearly outline the central research question or problem statement, research design or methodology, tentative title, and 5–7 relevant keywords.
- Word Limit: The abstract must not exceed 350 words.
- Mode of Submission: All abstracts and cover letters must be submitted only through the official Google Form provided by the organisers. Submissions via email will not be accepted.
- Deadline: The last date for abstract submission is 18th November 2025. Late submissions will not be entertained.
- Selection: Selected participants will be notified via email regarding acceptance and further instructions for full paper submission.

Full Paper Submission
- Format: Papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx), written in English only.
- Structure:
- Title: Maximum 10 words
- Introduction/Synopsis: Not more than 350 words
- Author Name and Bio: Mentioned below the title and footnote
- Keywords: 5–7 relevant terms
- Word Count: 2,500–4,000 words (inclusive of footnotes).
- Citation Style:OSCOLA (4th Edition) must be followed.
- Originality: Papers must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism must not exceed 10%.
- Co-Authorship: Up to two authors per paper are permitted.
- Presentation: Selected authors will get 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation + 3 minutes Q&A).
- Mode of Submission: All full papers must be submitted electronically through the official submission link (shared with selected participants).
- Cover Letter: Each submission must include a short cover letter with:
- Full name(s) of author(s)
- E-mail address
- Institution name and address
- Course and academic year / Designation
- Contact number

- Eligibility to Register: Only participants whose abstracts are selected will be eligible to register and submit full papers.
- Payment: Registration fees must be paid as per the applicable category at the time of full paper submission.
- Non-Refund Policy: Once registered, fees are non-refundable in case of withdrawal or non-participation.
- Incomplete Forms: Submissions made via email or incomplete forms will not be considered valid.
