At Metalegal Advocates, our Economic Offences & Taxation practice handles complex, high-stakes matters before multiple investigative and regulatory agencies.
This position offers an opportunity to engage deeply at the intersection of economic offences, taxation, and commercial laws, working on issues that shape corporate compliance and accountability.
Eligibility
- LL.B (five-year or three-year) from a recognized Indian university
- Prior exposure or demonstrated interest in economic offences, taxation, or white-collar investigations preferred
- Strong research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- High degree of diligence, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assist clients during investigations and enforcement proceedings before agencies
- Draft and file replies to show-cause notices, appeals, and submissions under PMLA, Benami Act, and allied legislations
- Prepare written submissions and pleadings under the Income-tax Act before appellate forums
- Draft petitions, replies, and pleadings before authorities, tribunals, and courts
- Advise clients on attachment, freezing, and confiscation of assets under economic offence laws
- Conduct in-depth legal research on PMLA, Benami Law, Income Tax, Companies Act, and Securities Laws
- Support preparation of legal opinions, advisories, and client memoranda
- Contribute to dispute resolution, internal research, and knowledge management initiatives
