About the Event
Shyambazar Law College (SLC), Kolkata, is pleased to announce the 3rd Inter College Moot Court Competition, 2026 (ICMCC 3.0), scheduled to be held from 28th to 30th January, 2026, at Campus III, Shyambazar Law College, Kolkata.
The Inter College Moot Court Competition is an annual academic initiative of the Moot Court Society, Shyambazar Law College, aimed at fostering advocacy skills, legal research, and courtroom etiquette among undergraduate law students. Building upon the success of its previous editions, ICMCC 3.0 seeks to provide a rigorous mooting platform through structured memorial evaluation, oral rounds, and a researcher’s test, ensuring holistic skill development for participants.
The competition will be conducted over three days and will consist of Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Final Rounds, Semi-Final Rounds, and the Final Round, along with a Researcher’s Test.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to students enrolled bona fide on a regular basis in an undergraduate law programme, including 3-year LL.B. and 5-year integrated law courses, conducted by any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.
A recognized Institution/College/University shall be entitled to send a maximum of three (3) teams to the Competition. No accommodation will be provided by Shyambazar Law College.
Team Composition
Each Team shall comprise three (3) members, consisting of:
- Two Speakers (Orators), and
- One Researcher.
In exceptional circumstances, a two-member team may be permitted with prior approval of the Organising Committee. The requirement of two speakers is mandatory unless otherwise permitted.

Shyambazar Law College, Campus – III Shyambazar, Kolkata, West Bengal
Registration Procedure and Fees
Each Team must complete the registration process on or before 6th January, 2026 (11:59 PM IST) by filling out the Registration Form.
The registration fee is ₹1,500 per team. Slots are limited, and participation will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to a maximum of 32 teams.
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
- Winning Team: Cash Prize of ₹9,000 along with the Winning Trophy
- First Runners-Up Team: Cash Prize of ₹6,000 along with the 1st Runners-Up Trophy
- Second Runners-Up Team: Cash Prize of ₹3,000 along with the 2nd Runners-Up Trophy
- Best Speaker: Trophy
- Best Memorial: Trophy
- Best Researcher: Trophy
All participants will receive Participation Certificates, and winners will be awarded Merit Certificates.
