Call For Chapters: AMU Law Society Review

About Law Society Review

The Law Society Review, published annually by the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), invites original submissions on the theme:

“Global Justice in Transition: Law, Reform, and Accountability in the 21st Century.”

The 2026 edition seeks scholarly work exploring how legal, technological, environmental, and humanitarian shifts are reshaping justice and accountability globally. Accepted papers will be published in an edited book carrying an ISBN.

Submission Categories

• Research Chapters: 3000–5000 words  

• Thematic Conceptual Essays: 2000–3000 words  

• Case Comments/Jurisprudential Analyses: 1500–2500 words  

• Opinion/Perspective Pieces: ~1000 words  

Notes:

• Word limits exclude footnotes.  

• Abstract (≤250 words) + keywords required.  

• Co-authorship allowed up to 3 authors.  

Submission Guidelines

Submissions must include a cover letter containing:

• Title of submission  

• Author’s full name  

• Institutional affiliation  

• Email + phone number  

• Details for each author (if multiple)  

Additional rules:

• Selected authors must address editorial comments using Track Changes.  

• Submissions must be in .docx format and emailed to: lawsocietyreview2026@gmail.com  

• Similarity index must not exceed 10% (excluding references).  

• Grammarly/QuillBot allowed only for grammar correction.  

• AI tools for content enhancement prohibited.  

• If AI tools were used at any stage, authors must clearly disclose this in a note of acknowledgment.

Formatting & Citation Guidelines

• Font: Times New Roman  

• Body: Size 12, 1.5 spacing, justified  

• Footnotes: Size 10, single spacing  

• One-line gap between paragraphs and headings  

• Citation: OSCOLA (4th ed., 2012)  

Important Dates

• Submissions Open: 1 December 2025  

• Deadline for Submission: 15 February 2026  

• Communication of Acceptance: 15 March 2026
